Transaction Announcement - Stoney Creek Hydraulics Inc.

Stoney Creek, ON, October 2024: Distinct Capital Partners Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of its client, Stoney Creek Hydraulics Inc. (“SCH” or the “Company”) by Motion Industries, Inc. (“Motion”).

Founded in 1998 by Patrick Gauthier, Stoney Creek Hydraulics is named for its location in Stoney Creek, Ontario. The Company specializes in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder manufacture and repair. Cylinders are built according to customer blueprints or designed by the engineering team to meet a customer’s application specific requirements. Repair services include cylinder inspection, machining, and testing with precision. 

Motion Industries, Inc. (“Motion”) based in Birmingham, Ala, is a leading distributor of maintenance, repair and operation replacement parts, and a premier provider of industrial technology solutions. Motion is a wholly owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company (NYSE: GPC).

Distinct Capital Partners was engaged by Patrick Gauthier to source a purchaser for the Company that valued the SCH employees and shared his customer-focused and high service standards. Motion was identified as the ideal purchaser to ensure continuation of Patrick’s legacy. Pursuant to its mandate, Distinct Capital also assisted with the due diligence and negotiations to successfully complete the transaction
